small sandy island less than 4 miles long and only 2 hours flying time away from the U.S. The village of Caye Caulker is a quiet former fishing village with typical wood houses and a definitely casual lifestyle. All shops, restaurants and bars are located along two uncluttered sandy lanes, the main streets of the island. There are no vehicles except golf carts or bicycles, everything is within walking distance. Only a 5 minute walk South from the center of town nestled in a lovely quiet spot you'll find Barefoot Beach Belize Resort.

Steps from the ocean, this is what you call beachfront. You will enjoy the sound of the sea, go swimming or snorkeling, sun on the dock,or relax under the tiki hut in a hammock. We have one of the the best beaches on the island.

Barefoot Beach is a modern Caribbean retreat with 3 tropical rooms, 1 suite and 3 cottages right by the sea. The rooms have comfortable queen or king beds, ceiling fans, coffee makers, sitting areas, small refrigerators, private baths with hot water showers, and a/c. There is color cable t.v. and they all have their own deck or patio with seating. We take pride in our well maintained, extra clean rooms. Our oceanfront suite offers the same homey comforts with the added convenience of a kitchen and living space along with an oceanfront deck that is 10 steps to the seaside and an 8 foot glass door to the beach.

Available for up to four people we have either the Caribbean Cabana, Barefoot Bungalow, or the Oceana Cottage. The Bungalow and Cottage have fully equipped kitches in a greatroom, private bath with hot/cold water, a/c throughout, a private bedroom with a king bed, color cable t.v., an innerspring futon in the livingroom, a private patio and unobstructed views to the sea from the whole house. They are completely new, modern and spacious. The Cabana has a nice view to the beach from one side, a kitchen /dining/living area with color cable t.v., an innerspring futon, a private bedroom with king bed, a private bath with hot/cold water , a/c in the bedroom only, and a large porch. We have wireless internet if needed too!
